I use fl studio I think it levels the playing field on production and if you use it correctly you’ll Have the music production scene on fire :)
I also use FL Studio and to me it is the best, its not about the program but the one who is using it, how creative the person and the knowledge !
I’ve been using FL Studio since version 6. What’s kept me such a long time user is that FL Studio has always seemed to be at least one step ahead of the other major DAWS, either, if not in terms of capability, then in terms of user friendliness.
For example, I remember before I started using FL Studio, when I was still deciding which DAW I wanted to settle on, Reason did NOT allow ANY audio recording and REQUIRED a HARDWARE midi controller to trigger sounds.
This was back in 2004 (Reason was at version 3). Fast forward a few years and Reason was STILL playing catch up, as it didn’t implement “block” pattern sequencing until version 5.
Of course, pattern based sequencing SHOULD have been a “no brainer” included from day one, since the MPC units have ALWAYS featured pattern based sequencing.
It wasn’t until Reason realized that FL Studio had become WIDELY popular, one major reason being PATTERN based sequencing, that it decided to follow Imageline’s example and finally include their “blocks” sequencing option, as well as audio recording.
FL Studio is also SO easy to use, that as we can see, even middle school kids can learn the basics of the program in a matter of weeks and start cranking out some SERIOUS sounds. Nearly ALL of today’s most popular producers using FL Studio are YOUNG kids, most of whom are either STILL in high school or just graduated.
For me, FL Studio REALLY is “the FASTEST way from your brain to your speakers.”

It reminds me of MTV Music Generator back in 99 when I was 12′ & like u said middle school kids grasped quickly. People laughed at Generator but FL is the same but better. The difference is I went from a Playstation to a PC, LOL!
Am not yet a producer but a gifted artist (painter)& music lover, it was in 2007 when I first got my eyes (not ears) on FL, the experience was like fire meeting gasoline. as an artist I knew this as an opportunity for me to make music with ear/eye attention and all thanks go to all the people behind these programs. Remember its the attitude that must be sharpened not the axe. FL is only the axe
I love it boy! Its so easy to use
Really?
