Kickboy 2 is a bass drum generator developed by Infected Sounds. It’s designed to create kick drum sounds and includes two plugins for sound shaping and a kick instrument synth with noise and color features.
Kickboy 2 offers 32 waveforms, four kick envelopes, multi-envelopes, and octaves for each kick. It also includes an equalizer, chorus, and features like double overdrive, double distortion, and double decimator.

Plugin Interface:
- Kick 1 OSC – This controls the first oscillator for creating kick drum sounds. You can adjust the Volume, Noise, and Colour of the sound.
- Kick 2 OSC – Similar to Kick 1, this controls another oscillator. Adjust the Volume, Noise, and Colour to shape your sound.
- Wave Selection – Choose different wave shapes for your kick sounds, which affect how they sound.
- AD Envelope – This controls the Attack (how quickly sound starts) and Decay (how quickly it fades away) of your sound.
- Filter Cutoff and Resonance – Cut controls which high frequencies are removed, and Res (resonance) emphasizes certain frequencies for more character.
- Drive – This adds distortion to the sound, making it more gritty or aggressive.
- EQ Controls – Adjust the Low, Mid 1, Mid 2, and Hi-frequencies to balance the sound.
- Rate and Depth – These controls affect modulations like vibrato or tremolo; Rate is speed, and Depth is intensity.
- Glide – This makes the pitch slide smoothly between notes for a cool, sliding effect.
- Save and Load – Use these buttons to save your sound settings or load previously saved ones.
