Tapestop is a plugin, designed to replicate the sound effect created when a tape player stops. This generates a unique slowdown or rush, adding a vintage feel to your tracks. Tapestop contains a play button for managing the effect, direction buttons to control speed changes, and a speed slider for tweaking.
Features:
- Time-Stretch Audio – Mimics the sound of a stopping tape.
- Process Mode Settings – Offers options for live/automation use or offline processing.
- Speed Fade Control – Fade the volume along with the speed.
- Full Speed Mute Feature – Mutes output at full speed; useful as a send effect.
- Speed Box Feature – Indicates green for down speed, and red for up speed.
- Button Modes – T for toggle, D for direct action during automation.
- Fade Time Adjustment – Choose between 0% and 100% fade time options when a direction is turned off.
- Re-Enter Stream Crossfade Time Settings – Control the smoothness of re-entry from slowed playback to live signal.
- Button Normal/Reversed Option – Select the display of the “next” state or the “is” state of the PLAY/STOP button.

- Setup – Opens settings to adjust how the plugin works.
- Play Button – Starts and stops the effect, like pressing play on a tape player.
- Up/Down Buttons – Choose whether the tape sound speeds up or slows down.
- Speed Slider – Controls how fast or slow the tape effect changes the sound.
- Mode Indicator – Shows what mode the plugin is in, like EP or different button settings.
