Ripchord is a plugin for musicians to develop chord progressions. This free MIDI plugin allows you to create personalized chord presets or use existing ones. It operates by creating a preset from any MIDI file that contains chords.
It has both play and edit modes to trigger chords for your progressions, change existing presets, or create new ones.

Plugin Interface:
- Output Keyboard – Shows the notes that will be played when you press keys. It’s like the piano keys you see.
- Input Keyboard – This is where you can press notes. It’s for telling the plugin what notes to change into chords.
- Transpose Button – This button changes the pitch higher or lower, like making the sound go up or down.
- Randomize Button – Mix things up by making the notes sound different.
- Settings Wheel – Opens up more choices to change how things work.
- Power Button – Turns the plugin on or off, just like a light switch.
- Presets Button – Lets you pick from saved sounds or setups, kind of like choosing a favorite song.
- Play/Edit Switch – This lets you choose between playing music or changing how it works.
- Save Star – Saves your favorite sounds or setups so you can use them later.
- Arrow Buttons – Move through saved settings or notes, like turning a page in a book.
