  1. I can’t believe people like this computer-generated stuff man! I prefer to play it all out because to me that shows skill. The pc did all the work for him because u can clearly see he can’t keep a beat on his own. I would give him his props if he could at least play and keep on the beat.

I ain’t knocking fruity loops cause it’s a nice program for those who can’t afford my weapons of choice; ie the mrs1608, mpc 2000xl, and the Roland fantom x8. I understand ya first couple of tracks being made with fruity loops but all of em! Come on dude be serious. Let me hear u make something on the Roland or mp. I ain’t even bout to get on ya vocab dunn. U got “stacks” whooptee do; but u ain’t got my respect, and I guarantee a lot of people agree with what I’m saying.

  2. come on people he has no talent everyone can play like that with Fruity loops but what he is doing is far from music the only thing he can do is rap.

  3. That’s True, He ain’t got my respect neigther as a beat maker or producer, Those beats suck, and the quality of the whole song sucks. I don’t care if his making money or not but I really think that it ain’t fair that he made so much money with that sh*t while there are people doing really good work and working so hard they aint got a cent… it’s just not fair.

  4. everyone say lil homie wac but i say it got 2 be something y he has bin able 2 better his situation with less and people hav mpc, and 4000 dallor keyboards ant ent hav a hit weather we like it or not hit is a hit , someone is buyin it or has bought it witch in my opinion counts 4 something. look at it this way nerds out number d cool kids if a nerd was 2 go hard at music dont u think he would hav a major response if u dont my example it chocolate rain lol look d song up if u ent no it

  5. Garbage!!!

    Point Blank!!

I respect dudes money game but musicaly,,Done!!!

  6. I feel dumber after watching this video. Dude may have made his hit, and recycled versions of that hit, but from this video he doesn’t seem like he knows anything about music.

Young Producers/Beatmakers: there maybe something to learn from Souljaboy and getting into the business, but there is nothing musical to be learned from this video.

    Wack.

  7. if you say that anybody can do what he do why dosen’t everybody do it then? and make millions? this is a much hip-hop it coulde be! come’on man. 808s beats that made for dancing. Thats whats hip-hop is all about! I aint defending Soulja Boi. But if that ain’t hiphop then read up on the history man!

  8. Hey J- Knockin his skills are one thing… but how r u gonna dis somebody’s tools. I use a combo of software & hardware, but I can make tracks on FL that murder most cat’s beats!!! u don’t like computer-generated music? what do u think an MPC is??? Cats kill me with that nonsense. FL is a sampler/sequencer like any other. if u can’t make heat with FL, then u can’t make heat with an MPC, and vice versa. yeah, the stock sounds suck, but that’s what VSTs are for. and btw, give me SEVERAL GIGABYTES of uncompressed samples in a VST over a few hundred MB of squashed, over-compressed, over-looped samples in a fantom any day! Not dissing the fantom, it’s hot too… I use one often. I’m just showing u how one-sided your comments are.

Soulja boy is WACK, period. But don’t hate, please. Cuz I’m sure u would rather have the job/income he has as opposed to what some of u do/make right now, IMO.

    And @ Shortthug… no, he can’t rap either! lol…

  9. this is terrible I can’t believe he actually made money off these songs using fruity loops.. ?? its a terrible program for a terrible rapper…

  10. Hey. FL studio isn’t the best. But it’s still a good software

  11. Forget money for a sec and really ask yourself was that music or simply BS? I pick the latter.

  12. All them “stacks”. Pity you can’t buy skills.

  13. I don’t get it ?!? those who using hardware hating on those who using programs!!!

what u can do with computer programs u can’t do it with MPC or whatever I guarantee…

and what can I say about Soulja boy he doesn’t deserve that !!!

  14. Spend less time hating and more time creating…sounds like that’s what he did, got in his “OWN” zone and left the bullsh*t alone…Large Stax from Fruity Loops Trax …I luv it…and he nice and southern like myself, so being that his economical situation did not allow him to buy all the nice hardware…He took Demo Software and blew up like most up of y’all wish u could. sounds like a WINNER to me( LOL, ROTF, OMG) < and all that other gay text message sh*t u clowns waste ur time learning. Oh yeah…..No offense… :0

  15. you are just some talentless haters ,he should have pulled out some stacks on you broke dummies , the man is showing you that you can make something out of nothing ,he can earn money just by saying fruity loops , and what can you do just sit there and chat shiiiiiTT

  16. Actually, he could get sued for using FL demo, demo’s EULA usually they can’t be use for commercial purposes. The skill and cash part = blame it on the industry/people/education whatever you prefer. Blaming won’t really make any difference. But giving it all some thought mite.

  17. Look it aint what u got its how u use it cuz i use fl studio and my beats bang but in this video his beat makin is wack as far as a hit goes lil homie doin sumthin right i dont knock his hustle i say stop hatin on em and get like em (makin hits)

  18. Stop with all the hate! If all of yall can do so much better why havent I heard of you yet? Exactly.

  19. STOP HATING ON THIS MOTHERF**KER! I KNOW HIS SH*T BUT AT LEAST HE MAKING SOME BIG-BOY MOVES PERIOD!

  20. why the hell is that fader on the CME VX midi keyboard bouncing>??

  21. Hate him or not, the boy is making money, while the world still text hating on Soulja boy, the video demo show that he’s hands on, in tune or not, i’m sure he’s applying quantization after the “performance”, which is the whole point, hip hop is the easiest form of music to emulate using simple very capable tools.

The problem with all the Soulja Boy haters is that he shows how u can do more with less thanks to technology. All the MPC’s, Motifs, Fantoms, etc. are all emulatible by software, don’t blame this kid, blame the software technologies, like drum machines ain’t software in a box. Hip Hop/Rap is not music in the traditional sense of the word, it’s all about buggin’ out having fun over drum patterns, it’s not Mozart people.

  22. Looks like the boy JO A must have sold some beats and re-up’d on some brand new gear!!! Hahaha. Interesting challenge though.

  23. nah…he signed a deal with sony atv

  24. awesome :O I want to have skill like that one day

  25. Soulija Boy is weak as hell, but he did turn sh*t into sugar how can you not respect him 4 that…Fruity Loops is beautiful its the mpc,fantom,etc.al2gether,I use all of it,expand your knowledge to all software/hardware its worth it.

  26. y yall hatin on dude wit wut he use? worry about ur own equipment an quit focusing on other producers. focus on gettin yallmusic heard at these labels an becoming successful in yall own right.

  27. I once thought hardware was better then software,I WAS WRONG!!!!!!what you can do with hardeware i can do with software 10 times better. And thats with fl studio,or logic IT’S NOT THE MACHINE,OR SOFTWARE IT’S THE MAN BEHIND THE MACHINE,OR SOFTWARE…. p.s. i have a mpc thats under my couch……and a mpd 24 that gets it done the same way, son>>>>

  28. Yea, he really doesn’t have a single ounce of talent but, he’s getting paid regardless. I’ll never understand…

  29. good job guys

  30. he really just playd rugrats theme song?
he probably pirated FL when he made Crank Dat

  31. lmao everyone starts off with the demo! and i give him propz….plain and simple he made millions off wut he do….yall better take notes.lmao “Quit The HATE…It’s why hip hop is dead..HATERS Killin US!”

  32. Isn’t it funny how people always say stop hating because he’s made money?? DOESN’T MEAN HES A GOOD PRODUCER OR MUSICIAN

  33. All ya’ll hating a**es. If it’s so easy and talentless, why ya’ll broke watching his videos…

  34. he do suck though…

  35. LOOK!!! TO ALL OF YOU PRODUCERS OR ARTIST WHO HATING BECAUSE YOU HAVEN’T LANDED A DEAL OR FEEL THAT SOULJA BOY MUSIC IS TRASH OR BUBBLE GUM BECAUSE HE USES FL STUDIO NEEDS TO RE-EVALUTE!!! WHEN 9TH WONDER USED IT, IT WAS COOL!!! BUT BECAUSE IT’S SOULJA BOY THERE’S AN ISSUE!!! YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE HAPPY THAT HE TOOK SOMETHING SO SIMPLE AND TURN IT INTO A MONEY MAKING MACHINE!!! THAT’S PROBABLY WHY YOU’RE NOT SIGNED OR HAVE A DEAL AND THAT’S BECAUSE YOUR WORRIED ABOUT WHO’S GOING TO JUDGE YOUR MUSIC BASED OFF OF WHAT YOU MADE IT WITH!!! STOP BEING A FOLLOWER, IT’S NOT THE GEAR THAT MAKES THE MUSIC, THE GEAR IS JUST A HOST FOR THE SOUNDS!!!!! STOP BEING A GEAR-HEAD AND JUST FOCUS ON MAKING GOOD TRACKS!!! YES, I USE FL STUDIO9 AND REASON 4.0 AND THEY ARE BOTH GREAT D.A.WS!!! THEY’RE BOTH JUST TOOLS, THE KEY IS TO MASTER THE TOOLS YOU WORK WITH!!! P.E.A.C.E.

  36. he was jst showin yal hw easy he gt money…” that easy” lol!! he might not be good as yall want him to be bt i like wat he did he gave me hope… u knw if all producers had studios and not fruity loops or reason then they would be no cool kids and yal wudnt be visitin sites to get help on prodcing..

  37. Horrible beats.

  38. Man, y’all Trippin. See that’s why most of y’all broke. All high and mighty and ish. If it wasn’t for the potential of getting paper most of yall wouldn’t be in this game. Just like n**gas….crabs! Most of you lack understanding about the spiritual aspects of success. If you, yourself want to make it you have to build people up and not tear them down. Now it is one thing to be critical, but however he made it, bottom line is that he made it. I personally like Soulja because he is unafraid. Quite sure he has heard all of the comments before, but that didn’t stop him. Yeah, he might be the man of the moment, but that is the name of the game for hip hop…get it while you can. Hopefully, he is not an idiot and has invested his money wisely because like all good things it will come to an end.

  39. Aint nothin wrong with Fruity Loops at all. Jus like any program you have to know what you are doing. Soulja jus use the basic sound packs that come with the program. Theres nothin wrong with that, thats jus how he roll/make millions!!!!! You can remake anybeat with the program is you have the instruments. Programs dont matter at all. Jus matter of if you know what you are doing.

  40. THIS KID FIGURED OUT SOMETHING YOU HAVEN’T. THE INDUSTRY IS DRIVEN ON PEOPLES CHOICE. ARTIST AND PRODUCERS OPINION DON’T MEAN ISH!!! He is from Panola County,Mississippi and PIMPIN the industry with a LAPTOP. SALE YOUR HARDWARE GEAR ON E-BAY AND GO VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTS. I DID and GETTING PAID!

  41. I think FL is a good starting program! I’m 15 and I use cuz I ain’t got money and sh*t! But when ur famous u shud be in a studio or summat real! Bet he uses the demo version :L but yeah I make a couple dope hip-hop beats but only cuz England ain’t got no REAL hip-hop going on (cuz I’m English obv.) but he’s juzt a joke!

  42. horrible my son 9yrs old could do better

  43. Well. you said that u used the demo version.

but you can’t save the music? :p

so you must have had a different version, righT? =)

  44. Well, i’ll admit he prolly can’t play a real instrument
but ima give him credit for the creativity because i have FLStudio and making something nice isn’t easy. and for those of u that think he lied bout having the demo he coulda just recorded the music… then exported it again…

  45. he sucks..not jealous…c’mon its so unfair as how many ppl usE FL,got lodz of talent than him…but not get reconognised!!

  46. Hell is all about making money so whatever you have to do to make it get it… If any of you can get around the easy way to become a millionaire you will so shut the hell up with all that b*tch talking. I’m not a Soulja boy fan just speaking the truth.

  47. people are getting too emotional about this soulja boy thing..u may not like what he does (did) but the fact is people made him wealthy..they paid for the music not him :)

  48. I don’t care what the haters are sayin soulja boy is one of the best in the game and you all know it and for all you haters out there if you actually read the title it says ‘how soulja boy made SOME of his hits’ so yall complaining that he’s basic and he can’t do it probably well he just saying and making a point that you can make DOPE hits with basic-ish equipment so yall OWNED TOO PIECES :P x

  49. Lol the funny thing is that you can’t save your project in fl and I know that it didn’t take him 10 mins to make it he must have had a pirated copy

  50. SOULJA GOT RACKS FOR LIFE and that is worth INFINITELY MORE THAN THE RESPECT OF ANY HUMAN BEING

  51. Your all really missin’ the point,Soulja boy could not give a F**K what you guys have to say because at the end of the day making hits isn’t necessarily about knowing music theory, or being the best sound designer, its about creativity, and knowing what people like/want. 10x more talent won’t help you if you can’t make a popular track. I don’t even listen to soulja boy, but I’ll defend him because at the end of the day I support anybody who can do something they love and make money doing it.

  52. this is dope. i never tried a challenge like this

  53. I Was Wonderin’ when U Was Gonna Post This I’ve Been listenin To Hop Since 2010 He’s Ill

  54. never saw this one!

  55. What the hell… Stupid a** sh*t…He had me rolling with that….. I’ve been there so many times.. I’ll have the whole song in my head and for some reason, I cannot get it out the way I want..

  56. Such a beast

  57. This dude funny as hell! LOL

  58. anybody see that blond chick in the back? CREEPY

  59. By the time she is 20 if she keeps this all I can say is monster!

  60. dope

  61. seriously, sure he may not be the best at using equipment or producing his stuff with high quality… but he is decently creative. and most importantly for all the people whining about why he makes money for it… HE KNOWS HOW TO MAKE IT APPEALING TO PEOPLE. he has the personality and is willing to work at exposing himself to the public because he doesn’t care what people think about him. there are some people who want things to happen and some people who make it happen. you can be amazing at producing but never make a dime if u don’t advertise yourself properly

  62. nice post Beyonce must of had a double cup in the studio lls

  63. That beat is extra dope.. i need that midi controller he usin tho.

  64. I think the beat kinda blows… Honestly. It sounds a mess… Very rough draft-ish. Maybe thats the sound he was going for. I dont particularly care to much for the song either.

  65. I am happy seeing a good beat making video with someone using the MPC 500. Too many people look down on it, but it’s not the machine but the person using the machine.

  66. Nice video

  67. CeCe G is dope. Also check out Kay Kay on The Beatz, another dope producer.

  68. It’s funny that you should say that can’t find and entertain videos online when you have one of the most gifted FEMALE producers as one of your members…who just happens to be in an all-female beat crew who are sick as hell AND had great videos!

Your male videos aren’t necessarily entertaining but the female videos have to be??

  69. Hi,

I don’t post MALE videos if I don’t find them to be entertaining, educational, or helpful in some way. There are thousands of MALE videos that I haven’t posted, and don’t plan to because of lack of value, quality, and information. I would post more FEMALE videos if more were available. The ratio of male producer videos, compared to female producer videos online is very different. Send me some good videos, and I’ll check them out https://hiphopmakers.com/contact

  70. LOVE to see other females doin their thing in FL! I’m a female FL producer as well and it is hard to find videos of female producers. I mean male or female, talent is talent, and there’s something to learn from everyone, but it’s deff nice to see a girl holdin it down for the ladies, thanks for this video!

  71. This is f**king dope. Thanks for the helpful info. †

  72. This is awesome. FL Studio is the best. It’s all about creativity.

  73. So it seems I’m the only person watching this in two years, but if anybody is reading this who knows, can someone tell me what synthesizer he’s using?

  74. It’s technically not a synth, but a MIDI controller. It looks like the M-Audio Axiom 25 1st generation. Hope that helps

  75. why are they crediting KE with this song? I knew after one listen something didn’t feel right about it being a “KE on the track” beat

  76. i like the fact that this was just a video montage, not actually showing anything.

  77. Dope beat bro!! Come check and sub to my channel. Subscriber get all free beats!!!! Raw Cut Productions(youtube)

  78. Wat program you make beats off

  79. Nice beat

  80. Nice one man, keep it up.everyone should try something new sometimes, it’s pays.
