This week we have a sample from one of my Go-to artists, Anthony White. Now Anthony White hasn’t really been sampled in mainstream or even old school Hip-Hop that much, so this is really one of my ‘gems’ that I’m giving away here!

Anthony, even though he was signed in 1975 and continued to work withinanothony-white-lp music right up to 1989/1990, didn’t release as much material as you would expect. Only completing two solo albums one in 1976 and the next the following year in 1977. From then on there was a massive twelve year gap before his next release, which was in fact a joint effort with Paul Simpson on a single track called “Walk Away From Love” released in 1989.
So, as you just read not only does this man have great sampling material, he is also somewhat a rare find for producers nowadays.
His debut album however, Could It Be Magic, released in 1976 was distributed by the Philadelphia International label. On this album you will find our sample of the week, Stop And Think It Over, which in true Anthony White form was just made to be flipped (sampled)!
