How did a genius like Ryan Leslie not backup all of his work? He could’ve easily paid someone to do it if he didn’t know how. I feel sorry for him, but it’s a lesson learned. I bet he’ll think twice about taking his most valuable shit with him the next time he goes out to a club.
first off–big ups to the author of this site–i really appreciate all the effort put in… its been a great source of info, inspiration and motivation for me! THANK YOU!!
now regarding the leslie verdict:
he didnt offer a reward for the MUSIC..he offered a reward for the LAPTOP with no conditions regarding files on the laptop…
i was in law school when the story broke and said right then and there that there was NO WAY hed get out of it..NONE. i said back then that it would end up being one of the worst examples of stuntin/flossin gone wrong in history… the case was AIR TIGHT.. almost comically so..
in legal terms it goes:
offer + acceptance of offer + consideration( ie action invested towards fulfilling the offer) =LEGAL BINDING CONTRACT… period.
keep in mind leslie went to HARVARD, he had to have been aware of contract law basics..
bottom line: dudes ego is ENORMOUS—he tried to stunt on stage in germany like he was worth millions and millions and and offer that big reward publicly and he got caught out there for flossin…
just so everyone knows it goes like this:
1. offer has to be made–leslie made offer publicly for all to see
2.person has to prove they were specifically aware of the offer and acting based on knowledge of the offer—leslie offer was all over the news/on the front page of the newspapers so the guy didnt have to prove he was aware of it as it was considered public knowledge in the town…
3. it has to be believable and reasonable expectation that the offer could/would be fulfilled—leslie presents himself like a billionaire superproducer when hes in europe–even in the early days with his youtube videos shot here in nyc it was always about finding excuses to show the amex black card, always showing stacks of cash, always riding in benz jeeps, always in million dollar studios acting like they were his personal spaces, etc etc…this last point is usually how companies and people get out of these boastful “reward offers” but leslies years of flossin and the way in which he made the offer f*cked him royally by making it impossible to argue that the guy who found the laptop was unreasonable to expect that leslie fullfill the reward..i believe leslies exact words were :”i got a million cash for whoever finds my laptop–its nothin!”
and lastly- the offer has to have been fullfileld ..which of course it was–the offer was for the laptop and the laptop was given to him..
the ONLY way leslie could have gotten out of it was if he had proven that the guy was the one who stole the laptop in the first place and you cant fullfil a contract in conenction with a crime-thus the contract would have been ruled void for that particualar guy… but leslie didnt or couldnt go that way with his defense..
leslie has a chip on his shoulder ove puffy because puffy stole his girl.. so he’s always flossin and actin like hes on puffys level when he thinks no one’s looking and it bit him in the a*s
LET THIS BE A LESSON TO EVERYONE!! for real.. the main things i learned in lawschool were: 1. DO NOT STUNT on people with less than you or try to floss around people with more than you and 2. WATCH YOUR MOUTH in public! and thats real talk…
anyway sorry for the lengthy response, but that was my little contribution to all the knowledge offered to me on this site..
peace

Thanks for the information. You sure are knowledgeable on the subject. Thank for the insight.
Man This is very sad. Just think if are studios cashed and you couldn’t get access to that million dollar session a customer would like to purchase. I don’t know if this is just a stunt, but if its real I hope things get better. its not easy bouncing back from a mill.lol
