Soon I will be releasing a Beat Selling WordPress theme. This was designed with a producer in mind.
This a simple one page theme that you can put in unlimited beats on to sell.
If your not familiar with WordPress, it is a free easy to use blogging software that is very popular, in fact it powers HipHopMakers.com
So what can you do with this theme???
- You can upload mp3s easily, along with setting a tempo, genre, license, price, and link for them to buy your beat
- Post twitter updates instantly, to keep everyone updated dated on your happenings
- Promote other social sites you are on to help with networking
- Build a list up email subscribers that will be notified when ever you add a new beat
- And Most importantly focus on you and your music
If your already selling your beats on Roc Beats or any site. When you send someone to your page to buy beats, you are exposing them to hundreds of other producers on that same site. This could be good if your on the top of the charts, or it can be bad too cause maybe they will see better songs and better prices for beats.
So I’m all about trying to make you guys independent, so this theme will be coming out real soon.
But before I launch it, I want feedback:

- What don’t you like about?
- What is it missing?
- Would you use it?
- Do you see errors?

Dang I needed this too. I am working on my website right now and looking for a template to sell beats. This is just what I need. Any chances this was released ???
So what’s the verdict on this? Did you trash the idea, or are you still working on it? Just wondering. I think it’s a great idea, but never materialized.

im digging the whole Idea you should do a video showing us how to use this as well as changing the text on the page just pretty much a rundown of what you can do with the page that way kats wont be asking you the same question. oh as far as the terms and agreement do you have a templet for leasing and exclusive rights contracts or can we add our own.

Any updates on when this will be released? Thanks for your hard work on this. I guess people are getting really anxious to start using this. Is there a way that we can customize this to look different? Not sure if everyone wants theirs to look the same as everyone elses.
when is this theme comming out… how do i sell music with paypal?
Is there a way to add a comments section? I know people are into their gear and like to display it, can you add a studio gear section? I also agree with adding a section for videos. Take away that twitter box unless you can have it auto update with the twitter feed?
Any idea on when this would be available? I think your idea is impressive and allows producers such as myself the ability to focus on the music aspect.
This is a dope idea! Looks good. Question though, would I need to set up an entirely new blog for this, or can it be added as a new page to an existing one? If not, I’m thinking that maybe I can just apply the theme and rearrange/recreate my previously existing content.

Hi Tony. I’m glad you like the theme. Unfortunately i don’t know how to make it into a page to add into a existing theme. But I do like that idea, So I will think about that some more and research it. But that will take a while.

can you make a blog tab next to the beats 4 sell tab so You can switch back and forth, It would be cool to have a blog tab so you can tell pepole about new beats, show youtube vids and stuff

Great idea and great service. You’re the man. Couple of suggestions:
- Maybe show what payment methods can be accepted up top? Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, etc.
- Maybe have a link to some terms and conditions so customers can find out exactly how they can use the beats.
Besides that, awesome job!
This is a great simple + customizable theme by Mark. I’m really feeling it.
I’ve been checking it out and I think its what Producers online need today.
I think its great that you can add your subscribe, social and PayPal links.

Music Production Sampling
Hey this looks good so far. If you can make this a full blog where you can put your latest news, updates, or just blog rants would be cool.
Also, auto page through beats once you get so many on a page make it go to page 1, 2, 3, 4 and make it a link on the sidebar as STORE.
Photos, Videos, & Texting are all important. (Which i know you already know)
Ok paypal is what i use anyway so thats kool, will i be able to tweak fonts?
Well, for for changing font, you will need to understand how to change css. But it’s not that hard do depending on your skill level
It will be hot regardless and a big help to good producers like me..keep doing your thing..
Yo, i like it looks like a good beat template…Does 100% of the money go to your paypal(or other) or does wordpress take some selling fees?
also it should have a section for our Myspace,Bebo,Facebook,etc
hi, for the links on the right side, you will be able to add anything links you want. I just put a few up there for example.
and wordpress doesn’t charge a fee. bu you will have to use pay pal, which charges a very small fee

I’m still trying to make changes on the back end of it, and i’m was hoping to get suggestions, and i’m not really getting to much feedback at the moment except make a plugin. Which I don’t know how to do.
So it will be done in about 2 weeks. maybe a little less.

Everything I know about wordpress, pretty much came from me adding features to this site. I have never worked on adding a plugin to the Hip Hop Makers site. So I don’t know who to make one

Looks good so far! A section for basic beats and customized beats, maybe a check box for the customer choosing whether they want the beat “tracked out” (for an extra fee), and a section describing the leasing/exclusive terms.
