I came across this great post on hongkiat.com. It provides links to 25 audio editors for your computer. Some are just as good as the paid audio editors like Adobe Audition, Cool Edit and Soundforge.

Unfortunately all the links provided aren’t that great. But they defiantly have some good ones you should check out. My favorite audio editor would have to be Audacity. I mentioned it in a free pick of the week in the past.
