Akai is on a roll this week. First it was the MPC Renaissance, then the MPC Studio ( Midi Controller ), and now the MPC Fly the connects to your iPad. This gains my interest the most because its different.
MPC Fly merges unmatched Akai Professional technology with the power of your iPad 2, embodying legendary capabilities that have made the MPC an industry standard like real MPC pads, MPC Note Repeat and MPC Swing. Its multifunctional, double-hinged design gives you the flexibility to produce tracks anywhere, while also acting as a protective case between sessions and giving you total access to your iPad 2 for normal uses.

not feeling this from a production stand point, but i think this is a great business move for akai. This will be fun to play with, but I think I’d rather use NI maschine for the job.

Will it be compatible with first generation iPad ? I sure hope so, would be a bummer if I had 2 buy an iPad2 just to be able to use this incredible piece of machine
