It may just be me, and don’t get me wrong because he is very musically talented, but sometimes I think Ryan Leslie just adds to much stuff because he can. There is no need for him to be playing 3 keyboards at one time except for the fact the he is recording himself making this track.

    What do you say?

What up Jeremy, I like Ryan Leslie, I think he has a different sound, and thats good to much, cause to much music is sounding the same. I think when I watch his videos, he picks alot of sounds that I wouldn’t pick, but as the songs play out, and those elements come in and out, I think they work well together.

I see your point. My production style is almost like “less is more”. I don’t like a lot of clutter and I can create a great instrumental I want room for the vocalist because that’s the real reason why people are buying the track. I do like his tracks< I just get this ****y vibe from him because he’s all jamming away playing three keyboard/synths at one time. I see no need for that, be humble. Just because you can do doesn’t mean you should. I think others are more likely to dig what you do when understand without them listening to what you make you wouldn’t be anywhere. I really shouldn’t judge cause I’ve never met him personally but that is just the vibe I get from his videos. Especially when hes yelling about putting him in a box at the end of this video.
